The schedule for this position will be: Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 am – 5:30pm with rotating Mondays (every third Monday). Job Duties/Responsibilities: Accessioning, grossing, embedding, microtomy and specials stains/IHC on specimens. Perform all technical grossing procedures required to process and submit specimens

Handle minute patient tissue samples Requirements: Bachelors or higher degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences with a combination of 30 hours in biology and chemistry with 1 year of experience or training in histology within the past 5 years under the direction of board certified pathologist (required). Microtomy experience required. HT/HLT (ASCP) certificate is preferred but not required. Familiarity with routine histology procedures and equipment.

Immunohistochemistry experience is a plus. Comfortability embedding both large and small specimens. Ability to accurately read all labels and documents.
