Work conditions sometimes require the incumbent to work outside during all types of weather. Must be able to board breakbulk ships, barges, and other type of vessels and be able to access all decks. Will be required to climb ladders through narrow ship passages, stand and walk for prolonged periods on uneven and slippery surfaces with chains and dunnage in their path, and work long hours and varying shifts.
