world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities. Job Purpose The HR Intern is responsible for labor relations & HR activities in a manufacturing environment.

You perform administrative functions as required to support salary & hourly employees. You maintain personnel records & complete transactions. You investigate & resolve issues. You administer and provide guidance to Operations team on the provisions of the Global & Local Agreements. You participate in strategic workforce planning, hiring events, onboarding & orientation. Job Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To: • Prepare for and participate in direct hire events. • Schedule, coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding & orientation process for hourly & management workforce.

• Develop, implement, participate in DEI event/awareness/education events, United Way, and benefits enrollment in coordination with HR Staff. • Manage the Engineering Intern program. Develop and standardize Engineering Intern program: schedule interviews, intern tracking, onboarding and orientation, identify training requirements, identify & schedule educational and networking events. • Conduct hourly employee investigations. • Administer the provisions of Global and Local Agreements;

provide guidance to Management on resolution of hourly issues.

• Investigate grievances and participate in grievance resolution meetings. • Exposure to both United Steel Worker (USW) and United Automobile Worker (UAW) Unions. • Identify, develop and implement standardized work: Service Recognition initiatives, salary birthdays, announcement letters for new hires/promotions. • Develop messaging for various types of communications for hourly & salary. • Participate in payroll activities. • Create and maintain employee personnel records and assist with employee data updates. • Build strong relationships with operations team, union representatives and other business partners to deliver business objectives and resolve issues.

• Enter and modify employees in various HR systems. • Assist HR department with data entry and collection. • Maintain metric reporting. • Complete and manager special projects and other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a Law Degree • Highly proficient with MS Office specifically in Excel and Power Point • Superior written & verbal communication skills • Uncompromising judgment towards confidentiality and business ethics • Must be able to function well independently, but also be a team player.
