Ensure that each staff follows the organization's policies and procedures, e. g. for sick time, personal leave, overtime, contact with the media or press, confidentiality about organization information, etc. Concurrently, the clinic charge nurse must follow policies and procedures for carrying out supervisory responsibilities, e. g. policies and procedures for hiring, firing, promotions, etc. Monitor staff's workload and productivity in order to meet the standards. Assist management in monitoring department operations and objectives to ensure the quality of services meets with the standard of the University of Missouri Health Care Mission and Goals.
Perform LPN nursing duties and procedures following department policy, established protocol and standard of care. Plan, assign, and review the work of the clinical support staff to assure work assignments are completed timely. Must be able to prioritize the workload based on clinic goals and distribute among the staff. Work with each clinic support employee to establish suitable goals, action plans and time lines.
