Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with Oritains strategic priorities and values. Drive strong media relations outputs; including building and maintaining relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to secure positive media coverage
and manage crisis communication effectively. Create and manage a strong corporate brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication channels and materials.
Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, investor newsletters, and other communication materials such as Q& As and issues preparedness content. Be a strategic advisor the senior leadership team. Including providing briefings, media training, and creating material for external events. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling content for various platforms, including website, social media, blogs, and newsletters. Support with the development of content for key stakeholders such
as investors and industry analysist. Lead crisis management communication and business continuity planning.
Monitor, analyse and report on media coverage and industry trends, identifying opportunities and risks, and providing strategic counsel to senior management. Effectively manage external agency partners; PR agency and industry analysis, ensuring regular reporting and best in class campaigns Although there are no direct reports within this team you will play a leadership role within the Marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Ability to work across time zones with key team in diverse locations Requirements A strong understanding of the U.
S and UK market Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing. Masters degree preferred. Proven experience in building strategic communication plan Proven experience building a framework to different audiences e. g. how we communicate to media versus investors v staff and how cascade info for multi-channel Proven experience building a strategy to go to market Proven experience working with the US and building relationships and a good understanding of media coverage in the US Proven experience in crisis management Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in corporate communication, public relations, preferably within a global organization.
Strong understanding of the forensic science industry or related fields is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences and platforms. Demonstrated experience in crisis communication and managing media relations. Proficiency in utilizing various communication tools and platforms, including social media, content management systems, and media monitoring software. Experience leading and managing agency partners in multiple marketsincluding the US Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative communication strategies. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
