a willingness to learn. We are an iterative team and are constantly trying new things and testing our assumptions. Backer Kit is seeking a dynamic and strategic Product Marketing Manager to join our passionate team.
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the ongoing growth of our crowdfunding platform. Your expertise will be essential in crafting compelling product narratives, developing go-to-market strategies, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure the success of our products in the market. You will be an individual contributor reporting directly to the Marketing Team Lead. Kindly share a portfolio that highlights your experience as a Product

Please note that there may be an exercise given during the interview. How you will contribute Product Positioning and Messaging: Understand Backer Kits products and their unique value. Create resonant messaging that effectively communicates platform benefits to target audiences. Continuously test marketing positioning with customers. Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate across functions to craft comprehensive strategies for new launches and features. Coordinate activities, timelines, and resources for successful product launches. Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to spot trends, customer needs, and competition.
Utilize findings to refine product positioning and shape marketing strategies. Content Creation: Develop diverse marketing materials, including blogs, presentations, videos, etc. Create engaging content that educates and captivates prospects, customers, and partners. Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with necessary tools to effectively convey Backer Kits product value. Create sales materials, conduct training, and design presentations. Customer Insights: Interview and gather feedback from customers and prospects. Gain insights into their needs and preferences.
Apply this knowledge to enhance product messaging and influence development decisions. Partnership Collaboration: Collaborate with strategic partners to create joint marketing endeavors, enhancing product adoption and growth. Analytics and Measurement: Establish KPIs, monitor campaign and launch effectiveness. Utilize data-driven insights to continually refine marketing strategies. Evangelism: Act as a spokesperson and product expert, representing the companys vision and values. If most of the following is true, we’d like to chat with you! Proven 6+ year experience (minimum) in product marketing within technology or Saa S sectors, encompassing both B2B and B2C domains.
Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for simplifying complex ideas into clear, concise messaging. A keen eye for quality and detail. Analytical Proficiency: Solid data interpretation skills to drive informed decision-making. Collaborative Leader: Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams, lead and mentor reports effectively. Agile and Iterative: Comfortable with agile methodologies and iterative processes, adapting strategies based on feedback and market dynamics.
Marketing Strategy: Demonstrated experience in crafting comprehensive marketing plans involving strategy, customer research, competition analysis, messaging, pricing, and more. Creative Storyteller: A creative mindset with a passion for impactful content creation, UX writing, and storytelling. Diverse GTM Skills: Experience in driving various GTM initiatives like webinars, trade shows, social media, and content marketing. Ecosystem Familiarity: Knowledge of crowdfunding, e-commerce, and startup landscapes is beneficial. Tech Savviness: Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
Graphic design skills are advantageous. The base salary for this role is targeted at $115,000 - $145,000 /year for Denver and most remote locations, and $125,000 - $165,000/year for San Francisco, Seattle, and New York City. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above and are determined by various factors including but not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and geographic location.
