About the role: Adeia is seeking an energetic and passionate Head of Marketing and Communications , who will report directly to the Chief People and Business Operations Officer.
Given the start-up like nature of the business, this role will require someone who is a hands-on consultative partner, and strategic thinker for this multi-faceted organization supporting approximately $400 million in annual revenue. The Head of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for corporate marketing, branding, thought leadership
campaigns, external corporate communications, and internal employee communications. They will be both strategic and hands-on demonstrated by being comfortable in bold thinking, strategic planning, program management, and working closely with our internal teams and external vendors.
Primary Duties: Demonstrated strategic and influencing skills, with the ability to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies that support the organization’s business goals. Drive Brand Strategy: Own brand development, awareness, and storytelling, including by developing creatives that will be deployed in linear and digital ad campaigns, in conferences, and in sales meetings. Thought leadership
and market positioning: Work closely with business, sales, and R&D teams as well as investor relations to craft messaging that shows Adeia is a thought leader in the industries in which Adeia innovates.
Deploy your branding and thought leadership strategies by working with our marketing, creative, and PR agencies to get our thought leaders in speaking engagements, our story picked up by the media, and generally recognized by the industry as an innovator. Corporate Communications: Executive & Leadership Communications Employee Communications and Engagement Multi-Channel Communications Planning & Execution Reputation Management: Manage and respond to inbound media inquires Oversee brand monitoring and proactively develop crisis response plans Media Relations & PR: Drive creation and approvals of press releases Lead relationships with tech media/journalists Manage publication of company/technology articles Oversee social media content and social media advertising campaigns Qualifications / Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing and communications management, preferably with IP licensing or B2B companies.
Possess entertainment and consumer electronics technology domain expertise with a strong understand of the industry (e.
g. customers/partners, value chain, ecosystems). Semiconductor domain experience is nice to have. Ability to create, develop, and write content for various stakeholders: corporate, customer, partner, investor presentations, various marketing collaterals, digital marketing contents, corporate/technology video, website/social media contents. Manage conference attendance plans, sponsorships, booth attendance Speaking engagement strategy Tech article drafting and publication plans Exceptional data analytics skills with the ability to communicate all relevant market, industry, and company insights in simple and compelling terms.
Strong communication and people influencing skills in a matrixed environment. Experience in both start-up and public companies with demonstrated success managing internal relationships with multiple high-demand stakeholders. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to marketing and communications. College degree in Marketing / Business, Communications, or equivalent. Location: Bay Area location working at least once per week in our San Jose office.
