every aspect of our work. 2nd Shift Production Supervisor 60-75K Terms : Direct Hire Schedule : Monday-Friday 4p-2a (10hr days right now, very busy) Top Targets: - NOT Cosmetics experience! 3-5yrs minimum experience in OEM/Food. Really wants to see someone with LEAN manufacturing experience from an automobile manufacturer Overview Reporting to the Packaging Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily production staff and activities, performing administrative tasks such as tracking attendance and disciplinary action, and encouraging, developing, and training direct reports.
The ideal candidate has strong technical and leadership qualities, is highly organized and
good at delegating, and can communicate clearly and effectively. Perform administrative tasks such as recording and tracking absences/tardies; approving Time Off requests; reviewing and approving timesheets; metrics reports; downtime tracking; etc Receive, report, and record call-outs daily Maintain open lines of communication between production floor, management, and leadership, providing regular updates on output and down time Regularly review and update Production Tasks board Assist Packaging Manager with any investigation or deviation Periodically perform floor walks to check for housekeeping, safety, adherence to standard operating procedures, and to ensure employees doing their work in
assigned areas Review Batch Records and any other production documentation from assigned lines for accuracy and correctness at beginning, middle, and end of shift Audit assigned lines and areas for housekeeping and compliance (5S, c GMP, ISO, etc) Assist with troubleshooting on assigned machinery, equipment, and lines Perform Area/Line Walk with oncoming supervisor and update on any roadblocks or pertinent information to their shift Resolve any disciplinary concerns as relates to performance, behavior, and/or policy violation, or escalate to Packaging Manager as necessary Provide any job training necessary to direct reports so they may perform assigned functions correctly; sign off on training completion and provide to Safety & Training Manager Complete semi-annual performance reviews of all leads and operators in assigned area Inspire and encourage team members throughout the day Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a production environment, CPG production experience preferred Familiarity with GMP and ISO 22716 guidelines highly preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent team-building and interpersonal skills Strong time management skills; deadline and detail-oriented Efficient, proactive, and driven to help the team succeed and improve Proficiency with computer programs such as Google Suite, Slack, Asana, and Microsoft Ability to perform and consistently achieve goals, helping the overall team to achieve in the process.
