: We are looking for Painter & Shipping Coordinator to join our team. This individual will work in conjunction with the Production Supervisor and Purchasing Manager to ensure orders are correct and load orders according to priority.
In addition, this position will also prep, paint, and finish orders ensuring specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct. This role also works to verify inventory, identify losses, and maintain an organized layout and safe work environment. Responsibilities : Pulls individual parts and gathers orders per the packing slip Preps all product to begin painting process, i. e. grinding, wiping down, cleaning Removes weld berries from finished product
Coats product with Xylene and primer to protect the quality of paint Operates an airless sprayer to paint product per customer need Visually inspects painted product to ensure quality and that product has been painted/finished to Company standards Uses Company provided tablet to take photographs of product packed and ready to ship for customer service quality standards.
Palletizes parts to ship to customer Conducts physical inventories, e. g. checks content of shipping product against packing slip for verifying stock and identifying losses, signs off on packing slip and routes to direct supervisor for final sign-off Prepares orders for UPS daily and outbound freight as needed Alerts direct supervisor of any discrepancies on Engineering prints Assists in documenting any adjustments to Engineering prints Completes material handling functions as needed, e.
g. bringing materials into the building, operating a fork truck Operates an overhead crane Reads and interprets Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering prints to complete work to design specifications Reports any inventory shortfalls to direct supervisor Completes daily pickup of area and remains responsible for cleanliness of work area Maintains all equipment and tools Adheres to all safety protocols including always wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Assists in conducting periodic physical inventories of the entire Production Department Uses a barcode scanning system to clock in and out of jobs Assists other PHIL and Welarco personnel as requested Remains willing and able to cross-train and float into other positions of the Production Department as requested Experience Required : High school diploma or general education requirement Preferred experience with air enamel gun 2+ years' experience operating similar paining equipment (air enamel gun) Availability to work standard hours and overtime as needed for painting parts after hours (i.
