Position Responsibilities: The successful candidate must be a practicing Muslim. FM Meat Products will use a third party to certify the halal blesser. The successful candidate will also work in the Grind Room to fulfill full time status requirements. Must be present on the slaughter lines whenever Halal slaughter takes place. Halal blessers shall only be permitted to be individuals that have been pre-approved by
Halal Transactions Inc. (HTO) Trained in Safety Requirements of the plant. Will be trained by Halal Transactions, Inc. (HTO) Verify that the animal has been properly stunned in accordance with the company's guidelines, as well as USDA rules, regulations and requirements.
Notify supervisors of problems that are not resolvable. Minimum Experience/Education Requirements: HS diploma or its equivalent OR one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. skills and follow up. Basic knowledge of materials & production processes.
Well organized with the ability to multi-task. Ability to work in various temperatures. Sound judgment, problem solving and process thinking skills. Basic understanding of FM Meat Products GMPs, HACCP and USDA regulations for this position. Ability to work early hours.
