sourcing events and selection of suppliers, execution of purchase orders and award of contract agreements. Identification, evaluation, preparation, and execute change orders. Processing of changes with Vendors as directed. Clarification of purchase request(s), requisition(s), orders and invoices.
Ensure compliance with established Policies and Procedures. Ensure that all relevant documents, approvals, and cost center codes have been obtained and are accurate prior to purchase order processing. Maintenance of purchasing records and document filing and reporting. Complete Purchase Order close out procedures. Provision of input to weekly/monthly reports Working in accordance with company
policies and statutory obligations. Conduct annual surveys to determine the best bids for each spending category. Ensure current rebate programs are compliant with the rules and regulations, and payments are made on time.
Marginal Functions Assist Procurement Manager with purchasing for the field as needed, including coverage during absence. Carry out other assignments as requested by the Vice President and General Manager, as needed. POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Knowledge: Technical or business degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience. Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, accounting and business contract laws required.
Experience: Extensive (2-4 years) construction contract experience is preferred.
Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: (Which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position. ) Computer hardware and software, including: Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Word, Access and Power Point); internet use and innovation. Ability to learn other software, if required, with company-provided training. License(s)/Certification(s) Required: Valid state-issued driver's license.
