Essential Job Tasks Uses forklift
to push, pull, lift, stack or tier merchandise, equipment, or bulk materials in warehouse, shipyard, or on-board ship. Drives truck and controls movement of lifting apparatus.
Positions forms or lifting platform under loaded pallets, skids, or boxes. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lift forks or lifting platform. Inspects forklift daily for mechanical and fluid deficiencies. Materials, Tools Equipment, Work Aids Works with a wide variety of parts, machinery, supplies, assemblies and components which are loaded, moved and unloaded. Uses slings and chains as needed and operates forklift. Uses radio to contact dispatch or supervision. Physical/Mental Involvement Repetitive
or prolonged sitting, manual dexterity, reaching, seeing, hearing, reclining and finger dexterity.
May lift between 50 and 60 pounds. Maintain safety awareness and ability to follow directions. Environmental Factors Exposure to fumes, odors, dust and gases that could cause problems with the respiratory system. Exposed to constantly moving machines and mechanical parts, and high levels of constant noise. Pay Scale : $23.20- $28.30 This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the hourly range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education.
