supply ordering to germinating to irrigating to harvest activities, coordinate, direct, and organize daily and weekly production plans, Track labor and produce yields. Examples of Work Performed: Assist Agriculture Project Manager in accomplishing the Agriculture Development goals.

Assist in development of diversified agricultural business opportunities including budgeting, scheduling, land identification and variety selection. Collaborate with Agriculture scholarship recipient to mentor and train. Assist in Grant, Contract, and Funding acquisition for Agricultural Development Initiatives. Coordinates daily work assignments and responsibilities with co-workers in a teamwork environment.

Works independently and handles general work assignments with minimum supervision on a daily basis. Assist in accomplishment of Yakama Nation Agriculture Plan production goals and needs.

Assist production personnel to ensure compliance with policies and safety procedures. Verify accuracy and quality of produce being grown and harvested. Identify ways to improve workflows and processes to increase efficiency. Assist with Organic certification with Yakama Nation products and the process through federal Organic Programs. Learn Production methods, techniques, philosophies, and practices at Yakama Farms with their staff, supervisors, and managers. Learn Irrigation methods, techniques, philosophies,

and practices at Yakama Farms with their staff, supervisors, and managers.

Abide by Yakama Nation Rules and Regulations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of employment, training, and placement programs; related regulations, policies, and procedures to farming. Knowledge of tribal cultural values, traditions, practices, and history. Knowledge of soil and nutrient management, crop rotation and succession planting, plant pathology, pest and weed management and post harvesting handling. Skills in financial analysis, planning, recordkeeping, and labor management. Ability to encourage and motivate crews. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to understand and implement strategic planning of a produce company. Ability to contribute ideas on how to expand and diversify the operation. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbal presentation. Ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, create and implement action plans and evaluate the process and results. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities and be tactful, mature, and flexible. Ability to be flexible in job duties throughout the year as seasons progress.

Ability to adapt to work environments and situations for Agriculture program to be successful. Ability to learn Spanish is preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs. or greater, may be called on to deliver materials when needed. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture or related field. Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Yakama Nation Driving permit. Required to pass a pre-employment drug test. Enrolled Yakama Preference, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
