Job Summary This position requires a self-motivated " hands on" leader with the ability to identify and solve assembly and test issues on the manufacturing floor and drive continuous improvements in the production process In this role you will be responsible for assigning work to the assembly & test teams and managing the production workflow to ensure projects are completed in accordance with the production schedules and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and will be required to work closely with the manufacturing engineering, design engineering & quality departments.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, with a desire to " roll up their sleeves" to help the team get the job done.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities : Organize and assign work to utilize available skills, knowledge, and experience to meet cost, quality & schedule requirements Plan and manage necessary manpower and equipment to ensure effective completion of tasks and goals Ensure quality standards are being met in production and embrace no defects be passed forward in the process Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing and testing processes and equipment Liaison between shop floor & engineering Maintain and assist in the development of process measures Communicate project status with Operations Manager Identify, develop, and conduct training for production employees Maintain conformance with Enercon safety rules, policies & procedures Ensure 5S housekeeping initiatives and standards are met Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project Knowledge of manufacturing processes Desire to work in hands on, shop floor environment Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict Experience using test/inspection equipment Knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings Ability to coordinate, manage and lead people
