TITLE: SHIIPPIING & RECEIIVIING COORDIINATOR DEPARTMENT: WAREHOUSEREPORTS TO: PRESIIDENT STATUS: NON-EXEMPTPOSITION SUMMARY:Position responsible for expediting all incoming and outgoing materials, products and parts; scheduling; paperwork/packaging and all other related issues.
Work with customer and vendors to resolve shipping questions and complaints. Oversee work of shipping receiving helper and maintains finished goods and packaging inventory ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Monitor sales order, work with scheduler and various managers to arrange daily shipping schedule, monitor outside
processes and track due dates to ensure on-time delivery.2. Communicate with vendors and customers to arrange for shipment of product3. Oversee, organize and schedule work for assembly team with regards to packaging and final customer requirements.4.
Weigh and prepare all completed production for shipment using skids, shrink wrap, etc to ensure integrity of product during shipment.5. Perform visual match of items while packing; bring concerns to Quality Manager or upper Management.6. Prepare all shipping paperwork including packing list, P. O. labels, bills of lading, etc. as required.7. Check outgoing product against shipping orders; verify counts; record and report discrepancies.8.
Arrange for shipment as specified by customer or " best way" Communicate with shippers regarding pickups and deliveries.9.
Prepare and arrange for shipment all product for external operations, heat-treating, plating, coating, etc.10. Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks.11. Receive incoming materials, parts, supplies and products, etc12. Examine shipments upon receipt to verify condition, counts, types and completeness. Report discrepancies to vendor, QC, and/or accounting as necessary to obtain updated paperwork or product.13. Alert management of returned product; update system.14. Deliver incoming material, product, supplies, etc. to appropriate department or personnel15.
Periodically perform or oversee physical inventory of materials.16. Maintain organized and clean work area.17. Communicate all problems and work related issues to supervisor.18. Drive forklift or use carts to distribute incoming materials to proper departments.19. Receive, understand and follow all written and oral instruction.20. Timely and accurate completion, input and distribution of all paperwork associated with the position.21. Participate in activities to increase personal skill level, overall departmental processes and product quality.22. Works with team members on cultural development to support the core values and direction of the company from the President23.
Comply with all company policies and procedures in including safety and attendance requirements.24. Maintain meet or exceed rating on performance evaluations25. High School Diploma or equivalent2. OSHA required training in Lock-out / Tag-out, Hazard Communication, PPE and Emergency Evacuation3. Certified Forklift Driver.4.
Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.5. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.6. Proficient use of Measuring and Gauging Tools.7. Ability to become knowledgeable in inventory control system.8. Distinguish a variety of raw materials and thicknesses (stainless steel, cold rolled steel, etc. )9. Effective communication and team work skills.10. Ability to perform hands-on repairs and maintenance including trash/recycling, inventory/restocking, cleaning, furniture assembly, parking lot inspections, building inspections, and escorting vendors. Ability to diagnose and report deficiencies in building structure, plumbing, electrical, carpeting and tiling and other related maintenance activities.
