budget hours. Please note: this position is for SECOND shift only ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lathe Read & work from blueprints/schematics and perform task within budget hours. Properly perform tasks utilizing Fanuc and/or Okuma controls. Select and prepare tooling and conduct first article inspections, and make required offset changes to complete set-ups.
Operate and set-up on conventional & CNC Lathes to very close tolerances. Must be able to dial in a four-jaw chuck. Utilize experience in thread cutting (major, minor, pitch diameters) to perform assigned tasks. Cut various types of threads including Acme, Square, Stub Acme, Lh and Rh standard threads, Class 2 & Class 3,
as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Mill Read & work from blueprints/schematics and perform task within budget hours. Properly perform tasks using Fanuc and/or Vickers 2100 controls.
Select and prepare tooling, and conduct first article inspections, and make required offset changes to complete set-ups using knees, angle plates, parallels, etc. Must be able to dial in 8" vice & turntable. Perform set-ups on vertical or horizontal mills. Work with small and large fabricated and cast parts. Set up parts up in the Free State to minimize warping. Utilize 4th Axis (rotary tables) to complete tasks, as required. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate
or G. E. D. strongly preferred. Must be able to read various measuring tools (i.
e. calipers, micrometer & bore gauges). Must be comfortable running one off parts and small production runs. Must be knowledgeable on Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance. Proven understanding of speeds and feeds, and machine codes required. Proven experience working with various types of materials (Stainless, Leadloy, Brass, Delrin, 1045, 1050, Etc. ) required. Ability to operate overhead cranes using proper pick points required. Must be able to safely lift 50-lb. Ability to read engineering drawings schematics required. Must possess good math skills (Trig, Geometry, Etc. ) Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required.
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required. Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
