Guidelines: Participants will be at least 18 years of age Participants will be enrolled in school full-time (typically, at least 12 credit hours) Participants will be enrolled in a diesel technology program (or similar program to prepare students for a career as a heavy equipment mechanic) Participants must maintain a grade of C or better in each class Program: Participants will receive on-the-job training in mechanical work by experienced heavy equipment mechanics.
Participants will work at TBCC during breaks, weekends, or other times they are available. Participants will receive Tech 1 wages ($26.40) for time worked at TBCC. Participants will be reimbursed for each semester's tuition
costs, provided the following conditions are met: Submission of grade report, with grade of C or better in each class Submission of paid receipt Participants will be considered for full-time employment, after completion of the following: Requirements for Associate's degree in Diesel Technology or similar program, with grade of C or better in all classes.
Successful performance in the on-the-job training at TBCC. Performance includes work quality and quantity, attendance, and other behavioral indicators such as communication, safety, teamwork, etc. Participants will be required to repay tuition paid by the company if they turn down an offer of regular employment. Participants will be required
to repay tuition paid by the company if they leave employment prior to completion of one year of employment.
Participants will be required to repay 50% of the tuition paid by the company if they leave employment between one and two years of employment.

Clean and make minor repairs to maintain fuel station and lube truck Log all fuel and oils into a Lincoln system Ensure Proper greasing of equipment Make minor repairs to equipment you are servicing Operate lube truck effectively and Safely Fuel trucks and support equipment at fuel station and in field Take oil samples, as needed Properly complete daily reports May be assigned to other maintenance groups to repair and maintain other equipment All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must have a work ethic that allows him/her to demonstrate his/her ability daily with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to complete assignments in a safe and appropriate manner with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and an ability to work with others in a team environment.
Must be willing to work in adverse conditions including, but not limited to, extreme heat, cold, dust, rain, snow and wind, as well as frequent contact with grease and dirt.
