JOB TITLE: Production Assembler I EMPLOYEE STATUS: Hourly, non-exempt PURPOSE: The Assembler I performs a series of assembly tasks to manufacture products in HVO's portfolio.
AREA OF PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY: Production Manufacturing Areas ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1) Ability to interact, respect and work with individuals with disabilities. 2) Work cooperatively and demonstrate respect to team members. 3) Becomes knowledgeable of products by reading product specifications, drawings and work instructions. 4) Must be able to learn assembly steps and meet productivity rates on multiple products within a manufacturing area. 5) Learns and demonstrates quality expectations of products being produced
6) Keeps accurate work records 7) Learns relevant quality system policies and work instructions.
8) Promptly advise immediate leadership of any issues that may arise carrying out above responsibilities. 9) Is expected to work overtime as requested. 10) Demonstrates good work habits and positive behaviors GENERAL DUTIES: 1) Must demonstrate knowledge of HVO safety expectations and regulations 2) Maintains a clean and organized work area. 3) Demonstrates an understanding of proper hygiene and gowning procedures throughout the facility. MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS/PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: 1) Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment 2) Consistently meets production targets after training period.
3) Demonstrates ability to perform visual inspection of assemblies with a high quality standard. 5) Must communicate well with others PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1) Able to lift 30 - 40 pounds with assistance 2) Good manual dexterity requiring hand-eye coordination 3) Upper body repetitive motion requiring standing to perform tasks 4) May be required to stand or sit for long periods of time EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated ability to read and do basic math functions. High school diploma/GED or proven work experience in related field.
