Duties include: Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect a range of diagnostic instrumentation and equipment Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing Diagnose, correct, and document system and equipment malfunction Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel on equipment operation and maintenance Perform related duties as assigned Expected to participate in meetings, seminars, training,
workshops and conferences as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of electronic theory, technology and test equipment Knowledge of color code conventions used in component and wiring markings Ability to comprehend instructions and effectively communicate Ability to lift 50 pounds of equipment; push/pull equipment cars; and to kneel, stand, bend and reach during equipment repair Skill in testing electronic equipment Skill in manual dexterity, hand-to-eye coordination and color vision Education and experience: Associates degree in electronic or biomedical equipment technologist with minimum of six months experience in medical equipment repair and maintenance.
Medical laboratory
technician (MLT) with Associates degree and a desire to learn a new level of laboratory science will be considered.
