or support related equipment. Essential Job Functions: Installs new wireless equipment including switching equipment, tower site equipment, microwave radio systems and related applications. Tests new equipment to ensure proper operations. Installs new service and equipment for subscribers by installing drop wires, outdoor radios, wireless routers, switches, bridges, and telepoles.

Wires new systems using appropriate tools. Customer installs, which require wire drops, outside/inside equipment installation, and testing. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs existing tower locations by using test equipment to locate trouble. Determines necessary repairs which may include base station replacement,

base station protectors, ground connections, running new wires. Climbs towers up to 60' at customer locations for installs. Serves as ground crew for other tower climbers.

Troubleshoots problems and maintains existing wireless equipment. Completes all installation and repair related forms and reports. May confer with customers to further determine problems and acceptable resolutions. Discusses technical service needs with the customer and makes appropriate recommendations. May install and maintain equipment for diversified telco services including broadband communications, video, etc. Repairs tower sites as needed on a 24/7 basis. Maintains all company issued equipment to ensure proper

working order. Maintains material inventory on work vehicle.

Performs all other related duties as assigned by management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of wireless base station operations including Wi MAX and LTE. Knowledge of microwave, RF and/or cellular technology and DC power systems. Knowledge of tower safety procedures including the proper use of a full-body harness, fall arrest lanyards, fall restraint lanyards, descenders, etc. Knowledge of company products and services. Knowledge of basic electronics. Knowledge of company policies and procedures. Proficient computer skills including port forwarding, CMD prompt, and CLI. Skill in operating service equipment including a bucket truck, various hand tools, and testing equipment.

Ability to work with complex software programs including Windows OS, Radwin Manager, Teamviewer, etc. Ability to operate vehicle/equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Ability to identify and distinguish colors. Ability to communicate with co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instruction manuals. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to evaluate, test and repair sophisticated equipment.

Ability to improve or redesign procedures for specific installation/repair problems. Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions using information at hand. Ability to be on call 24/7. Ability to effectively function as a team player. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent plus two (2) years of related technical training or equivalent work experience is required.
