Insure accurate and timely internal information flow concerning activities with or affecting customers. In conjunction with the Shipping/Receiving Clerk, schedule shipping and receiving for assigned contracts and coordinate check-in of customer's goods. along with other Production Manager, Shipping/Receiving Clerk, Quality Assurance Warehouse Manager, Director of Rehabilitation Services, and Director of Production & Business Development, schedule daily production to efficiently meet the needs of both the customer and the agency.
Act as a source of information and direction to the Rehabilitation Trainers in all direct production activities and to provide input to the Director of Rehabilitation
Services for performance evaluations. Coordinate the picking of the necessary materials, direct assist Rehabilitauion trainers and material handlers in the set-up of jobs.
Perform time studies and give input for quotes. Determine the most effective and efficient way to perform operations. Review current time studies and quote information with their production manager to insure they are correct and that quotes have an acceptable/fair mark-up. Insure finished product is brought to the shipping area on a daily basis. Match quantities to job tickets for accuracy. Communicate with the customer concerning any discrepancies. Perform a final review before giving the appropriate paperwork to the
shipping clerk for proper documentation and sales order.
Coordinate any deliveries with the Quality Assurance Warehouse Manager as needed. High school Diploma or GED is required, an associate's degree or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Supervisory experience is preferred as well, one to three years related experience. Proficiency with Microsoft office and Forklift experience is preferred. Must also have reliable transportation. Duties and Responsibilities Setup machines for part numbers by using process prints or Shop Information Packets (SIP) Using above documentation, the operator downloads CNC programs, obtains tooling, gaging, and necessary items to set up machine to run first piece Preforms first piece inspection to print requirement on parts after setup to check for proper setup before beginning production Responsible for completing first piece inspection form and/or NCR (Non-conformance Report) for scrap including setup pieces within shift work completed Is responsible for returning all set-up material and paperwork to proper areas Parts weighing 50 pounds or over are
required to be assisted by hoist · Operator loads piece from tubs, crates or skids into machine using hoists as needed and engages automatic cycle of machines Loads and starts additional machines within work center as required · Operator is solely responsible for checking the part's conformance of machined workpieces to specifications as stated in inspection sequence to assure continued production of quality parts Makes necessary machine adjustments to maintain production of quality parts Makes minor repairs, maintenance and adjustments to machinery and fluid levels Records daily production in company ERP or manual paper log by end of shift worked Records daily down time data in company program
by end of shift worked Accurately completes move tickets and skid identification paperwork as required Assists new operators on set-up or production as required Responsible for housekeeping of machine and work area(s) If problems are encountered in set-up or operation, they are to contact Supervisor and/or Process Engineering Follows company safety rules and work policies Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to add, subtracts; multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations Operator must have working knowledge of reading blueprints, micrometers, gages, and reading and being able to make minor changes to NC/CNC programs Knowledge of using basic hand tools is required.
