GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Plant Manager manages daily production operations to meet Safety, Quality, Service and Cost objectives.
Ensures supply chain execution in the provision of finished goods. Establishes and/or executes operating policies and procedures to achieve EH&S standards, compliance, production schedules, product quality standards, customer expectations/satisfaction and operational cost targets. and continuity of area of responsibility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the safety of staff, visitors, equipment, and facility in accordance with the North American Manufacturing Safety Program.
Ensures execution and compliance with EHS requirements. Leads the manufacturing team to excellent performance through a structured lean manufacturing system (MS-168) with the use of Operational Excellence tools. Ensures that staff is competent to perform all required functions. Interfaces with senior management to ensure manufacturing goals are consistent with strategic direction. Responsible for managing employees, either directly or indirectly, that are assigned to the site.
Determines organizational objectives and defines structure. Undertakes long and short-term planning and supervision of projects including management of the capital process for the site. Oversees, either directly or indirectly, investigations of labor, cost and process variances and deviations. Participates in annual budget preparation and is responsible for managing results to the budget. Ensures team members achieve their potential and the teams meet their goals. Demonstrates a commitment to diversity in hiring and promotion decisions.

Coaches and develops employees to ensure talent is developed and retained. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: The educational minimal requirement for the Plant Manager position is a Bachelors' Degree. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: A minimum of 3 years' management experience of a site or manufacturing functional area required. OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS: SAP/ERP experience Lean methodologies Ability to apply excel, word, and SAP applications to daily job responsibilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 25 lbs. BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION: The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $99,222 and $124,027. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
