Posting Identification Number Position Overview The Office of Business Services is seeking to hire an executive to serve as Telecommunications Coordinator. This position provides complex technical analysis of Department of Human Services (DHS) Voice and Video telecommunications transmission systems and services for DHS divisions statewide for a geographic region

including in-patient facilities. Job Responsibilities Serves as Telecommunications Coordinator.

Serves as a working supervisor. Performs application designs for communication equipment relocation and new installations, coordinates and provides reports and requisitions for telephone equipment and services. Supervises the timeliness and completion of project installations, large complex voice network communications design, etc. verifies equipment is ordered timely for installations. Serves as a liaison between DHS and the Department of Innovation and Technology (Do IT) for telecommunication support tickets by completing Telecom Service Requests and Problem reports and sending them to Do IT.

Acts as a liaison with Do IT and appropriate telecommunication contractors and providers regarding wireless orders. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration. Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization. Specialized Skills: Of the two (2) years required experience, requires two (2) years in telecommunications services to include procurement, ordering, servicing, tracking of wireless devices, landlines, faxes and other items, supporting business offices and their network needs.

Preferred Qualifications Three (3) years of professional experience in telecommunications services to include procurement, ordering, servicing, tracking of wireless devices, landlines, faxes and other items, supporting business offices and their network needs. Two (2) years of professional experience providing leadership, directing, and supervising staff for a public or private organization.

Three (3) years of professional experience working with telecom services and an expense management system for a public or private organization. Two (2) years of professional experience establishing and maintaining satisfactory working relationships with fellow employees, management teams, vendors, and the public. Two (2) years of professional experience communicating effectively, both orally and in writing. Two (2) years of professional experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email applications, and other program systems for communications, tracking data, and developing and maintaining telecommunications reports.

Two (2) years of professional experience exercising judgement and discretion in developing, implementing and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.
