Analytical Chemistry Laboratory Manager Job Summary The laboratory manager, working with the Quality Assurance Director, will be responsible for all aspects of lab operations. Qualifications - A master's level degree in a chemical or biological science and a minimum of 2 years post- degree laboratory experience related to testing of medicinal or medical products or other experience as approved by the Department or - A doctorate of science or an equivalent degree in chemistry, biology, or a sub-discipline of chemistry or biology - Appropriate experience with

HPTLC identification, HPLC-PDA/UV, HPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and/or ICP-MS Ideally has worked in nutraceuticals, botanicals and supplement testing. - 3 years of Managerial experience - Flexibility to take on new assignments and see them through to completion - Highly organized - Meticulous attention to detail - Ability to effectively multitask - At least 3 previous references and 1 direct report reference Laboratory Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities - Train lab staff on company policies - Oversee data collection and sign certificates of analysis - Participate in experiments when necessary - Ensure that all equipment is in working order - Assign testing tasks to lab staff for optimal turn around

times Create productivity reports and offer insight to improvements - Uphold turn around times and update customer service - Complete and review corrective action, OOS and non-conformances Assign investigations of customer data quality complaints to lab staff - Work with QA department to document SOP deviations - Make sure lab staff are following safety protocols - Review data so that it meets requirements for customers - Conduct daily meetings with lab staff for tasks - Provide leadership and oversight to the laboratory staff - Oversee customer stability testing and approve results, investigate they don't meet specification.

- Responsible for reagent labeling and traceability in the laboratory.
