Technical Program Managers (TPMs) play a meaningful role at Salesforce in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within our Technology & Products organizations. TPMs are responsible for programs through from beginning to end, ensuring a better workflow and more effective communication. They
work closely with executives and key company partners to drive critical programs and activities across the company! This individual will be responsible for driving programs pivotal to delivering large scale and distributed services around " Observability" realm for Salesforce.
Our " Observability" charter represents the critical path to enable service owners to improve mean time to detect, remediate and resolve issues, thereby providing a great opportunity to make an impact in improving customer satisfaction for the company. You will lead, contribute, and co-ordinate with cross functional domain areas like Engineering, Product, and ELT to drive the planning and execution
of programs. This is a fast paced, dynamic environment that involves working with multiple products and tech stacks leveraging the latest monitoring, observability industry standards.

Responsibilities Own and drive programs including alignment on program scope, business goals, setting up program operation, stakeholder management and reporting. Partner with cross-functional teammates to drive workgroup alignment meetings to address tactical release issues, dependencies, team status, production issues, metrics review, milestones, etc. Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic), lead and successfully complete the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership.
Work with multiple delivery teams and stakeholders to drive execution of complex goals. Drive the implementation of projects including organization-wide improvement efforts. Develop trusted relationships with key technology, functional leaders and stakeholders to drive focus on strategic program objectives and optimize program delivery. This includes supporting and holding resources accountable for their responsibilities within the program. Ensure data is collected to appropriately advise decision making for mitigating risks and resolving issues.
Anticipate and remove obstacles with a sense of urgency that slow down or prevent project teams from delivering on project goals. Provide visibility to program status (issues, risks, metrics, etc. ) on an ongoing basis to all stakeholders, team members and Leadership. Provide monthly program reviews and updates at sprint reviews (deep dive into current state of project goals, risks, escalations). Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning. Minimum Requirements 15+ yrs of experience managing large complex programs/projects utilizing Agile/Scrum, Kanban and other program management project execution methods.
Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies. Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and team members. Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work in a cross-functional, matrix management environment. Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program. Ability to successfully partner with all functions across the entire company.
