ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct diagnostic backssments for each individual referred for services, in a manner that complies with the regulatory standard for the appropriate program, as needed.
Deliver social work services in accordance with regulatory standards and stated recommendations; deliver social work services in the program, residential and/or community settings as appropriate to accomplish objectives or based on the individual's needs; act as consumer advocate promoting the concepts of individualization,
inclusion, integration and independence facilitating the individual's progress and satisfaction. Complete all documentation requirements, including those needed for the completion of backssments and monthly program services; submit all documentation within the timeframes required by regulatory and program requirements.
Participate in the backssment process for determining an individual's ability to give consent for interactionual activity, as requested; complete suicide risk backssments as requested. Instruct and oversee program staff in the methodologies to be used in various settings to ensure consistency as appropriate; work collaboratively with other program staff to ensure the individual's
stated goals are being met. Provide collateral services with family members or other service providers to ensure consistency in social work services; provide training to program staff, as requested.
Maintain all required certifications and licenses and participate in required training courses established for the position; participate in scheduled staff meetings. REQUIREMENTS Master's degree in a field related to social work. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. NYSED Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW). Valid driver's license. Ability to be certified in all required trainings. Occasionally required to lift to 25 pounds.
