Other duties may be assigned. ) DEPARTMENTAL MANAGEMENT · Manages, oversees and directs the Legal Department of the Human Resources Division, which includes the Legal Section. · General oversight of the Legal Department, including setting strategy, developing and monitoring budgets, staffing, and performing/overseeing personnel evaluations.

LEGAL SECTION · Provide legal and compliance oversight to all operations of MAL-SV. · Advise executive management within the company and provide legal support to strategic business units and affiliates, including HQ in Korea. · backss and mitigate legal risks arising from business

activities. · Communicate and negotiate on behalf of the company with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities, etc. ). · Maintain and monitor MAL-SV's Compliance Program.

· Monitor and apprise executive management of labor union activity. · Monitor and apprise executive management of legal, legislative, and regulatory changes that may affect the company and its operations. · Monitor and apprise executive management of major OEM trends and activity in the US. · Review, draft, and/or negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company's legal rights or manage the process thereof. · Advise executive management on terms and conditions

and legal risks of company contracts. · Manage company litigation, which includes serving as primary contact for external legal counsel, coordinating discovery, and attending depositions and court proceedings as needed.

· Oversee and manage the acceptance of all legal documents and service of process for proper distribution to the correct parties within MAL-SV. · Evaluate and advise on various types of insurance coverage, including property and casualty, employment practices liability, and workers compensation. · Maintain class action recovery program. · Oversee external legal counsel, including hiring, assignment of cases/projects, directing activities, and reviewing and approving legal billing.

· Manage various projects and deadlines. · Offer counsel on a variety of legal issues as needed. · Provide legal assistance with global joint ventures and/or global affiliates, including HQ in Korea. · Provide legal advice to internal clients. · Ensure stated legal objectives are met. · Research unique legal issues impacting MAL-SV. · Assist with issues related to employee's immigration status. · Monitor and identify legislative changes that may affect MAL-SV and its affiliates, including HQ in Korea. · Monitor and identify changes in the law that may affect MAL-SV and its affiliates, including HQ in Korea.

· Provide legal oversight to creation, revision, and interpretation of corporate policies and procedures. · Assist EHS Department in identifying and monitoring compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA, DOT, EPA, and state regulations. · Assist Human Resources in employment matters as needed. · Review advertising, marketing, media statements, and other public relations materials to ensure legal compliance. · Provide training on a diverse range of topics, such as regulatory developments, compliance, and substantive legal topics, to MAL-SV and its affiliates, including HQ in Korea.

· Serve as a member of the 401(k) Investment Committee. · Participate in the Global Legal & Compliance Conference or other meetings or conferences as necessary. · Attend continuing education necessary to maintain law license and certifications. TEAM RELATIONS SECTION · Provide guidance on all labor and employee relations matters and activities. · Provides prompt advice to management on the full range of labor and employee relations matters. · Provide guidance on the union avoidance strategy to be used by the management team at MAL-SV to detect, prevent, and respond to union organizing activity.

· Review all internal investigations, including those related to performance, workplace violence, discrimination and harassment, attendance, corrective actions, and or terminations. · Provide guidance for both the Workplace Violence and Termination Committees. · Keep abreast of all union activity and labor-related regulations and laws. · Provide guidance and ideas to executive management on union avoidance initiatives. · Maintain relationships with other automotive suppliers and share relevant information regarding the automotive industry, labor relations, and union activity.

· Provide relevant labor relations training for suppliers as needed. · Provide guidance on Human Resources issues and programs including, but not limited to, staffing, employee relations, benefits, policies, training, and performance management. TRAINING · Provide content and advice for labor relations training for all members of Mobis Alabama management. · Create and facilitate regular training on compliance with MAL-SV policies and procedures, including interactionual harassment and workplace violence. · Participate in New Hire Orientation.

· Create and facilitate all Team Leader Leadership Training for all production Team Leaders. COMMUNICATIONS · Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence and prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership as needed. · Coordinate and participate in the President's Roundtable with production Team Members. BUSINESS PLANNING · Prepare a yearly departmental budget. · Oversee and implement corporate programs and directives as requested. · Oversee and manage program development and implementation. · Work with the management team to develop strategies designed to minimize turnover.

· Assist with partnering Human Resources efforts and Team Member's needs with the performance goals of the organization. · Maintains daily communication with direct reports to provide guidance and support. · Recommends changes to current policies and procedures. · Demonstrate ability to backss organizational and people issues. · Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. PUBLIC RELATIONS · Oversees, manages and directs all community and public relations matters, communications, and activities. · Responsible for direct contact with the Chamber of Commerce as a liaison for the President and CEO.

· Represent MAL-SV as a speaker for all public relations functions and activities, including media relations, press relations, Team Member communications, and crisis communications. · Represent MAL-SV in, with, or before business, community, and governmental activities, groups, and functions. OTHER · Responsible for managing the overtime hours of their staff. · Comply with and promote safety in the workplace, including attendance at safety meetings as well as conduct safety meetings when necessary. Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.

) Required Education & Experience: · Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited institution. · Licensed to practice law and a member in good standing of a state bar association. · A minimum of seven years relevant experience serving in an in-house legal role or with a large law firm. · Experience in labor and employment matters. · Experience drafting or reviewing commercial contracts. · Experience litigating and/or managing litigation. · Experience in regulatory compliance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: · Must possess broad-based working knowledge of labor and employment law, corporate law, insurance law, and OSHA. · Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally and to explain complex legal issues to all levels of management. · Detail-oriented and customer-focused. · Willing to collaborate, share knowledge, respond quickly to urgent matters, and execute proactively. · Ability to understand and embrace the company's core values, corporate goals, mission, and priorities. Preferred Education & Experience: · Licensed to practice law in Georgia and a member in good standing of the Georgia State Bar.

· Experience serving as in-house legal counsel in the automotive and/or manufacturing context. · Experience litigating and/or managing the litigation of employment claims. · Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar compliance-related certification/designation.
