Successful candidates should be teachable and have excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. The associate attorney must have proven work experience as an Associate Attorney in a reputed law firm. Responsibilities: Be able to manage cases from inception through discovery and trial preparation Taking depositions of the claimant, witnesses, physicians, medical experts, and other parties Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, appeals, contracts, and other legal documents Gathering evidence and obtaining medical records for trial Remaining current with developments in the law Litigating cases before the workers compensation division Negotiating legal contract terms
on behalf of clients and presenting arguments and counter arguments in court Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
Must be to support existing and new clients Requirements: Illinois or Indiana license preferred Minimum of 2-3 years in a law firm workers comp environment; Personal Injury a plus Extensive knowledge of the State and Federal rules and regulations Must be able to grapple with large caseloads and multitask multiple priorities and deadlines The firm offers a generous benefits package along with compensation based on experience level and client orientation.
