Duties: Manage and oversee privacy program management work, specializing in product counseling for clients backss legal exposure and formulate comprehensive work plans to ensure client compliance with evolving privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act/California Privacy Rights Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Colorado Privacy Act, and EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Conduct processing risk backssments and collaborate with clients to document

data flows and associated requirements. Develop and deliver training programs for junior associates, fostering a thorough understanding of privacy laws and compliance protocols.

Utilize telecommunications industry experience to provide specialized legal counsel, addressing industry-specific nuances and challenges. Requirements: Possess 7-10 years of legal experience, with a strong preference for in-house experience either as a full-time employee or secondee. Hold admission to the California Bar. Demonstrate a deep understanding of key U. S. and global privacy laws. Exhibit a track record of designing and implementing effective compliance strategies for clients facing diverse privacy regulations.

Showcase experience in conducting processing risk backssments and documenting data flows.

Display proficiency in developing and delivering training programs for junior associates. Preferably, have experience in the telecommunications industry. Certifications: Admission to the California Bar is mandatory. Preferred certification: CIPP/US certification. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Skills: Strong legal analytical skills and the ability to backss and mitigate legal risks. Excellent communication skills to effectively advise clients and provide training.
