Duties: Litigate personal injury cases from inception through trial. Negotiate pre-litigation and litigation settlements with insurance companies and defense counsel.
Handle all aspects of litigation, including filing lawsuits, written and deposition discovery, expert depositions, law and motion, and trials when necessary. Draft and propound discovery, take and defend depositions, and draft pleadings and law and motion. Make court appearances, conduct legal writing and research, and provide customer service to clients. Prepare pre-trial motions
in limine, trial preparation, and chair trials. Review cases for settlement, draft settlement demands, and correspond with insurance companies and defense counsel.
Requirements: Licensed by the State Bar of California, in good standing. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Understanding of California civil procedure for State Court cases. Bilingual proficiency (Spanish and/or Armenian is a plus). Education: Juris Doctor (J. D. ) degree from an accredited law school. Skills:1-3 years of personal injury case handling experience. Proficiency in negotiating pre-litigation and litigation settlements. Strong understanding of California civil procedure. Excellent legal writing and research skills. Effective customer service and communication skills.
