Assists with the development of educational resources and initiatives. Monitors research and developments in the field of infection prevention and control to identify best practices. Participates in quality improvement activities of the organization and the department. Facilitates the surgery center's process to provide a safe environment by reducing the risk of exposure to blood/body fluids to employees, patients, and customers of the facility.
Collects, compiles, and reports cancer diagnosis data for state reporting purposes on a monthly basis. Prepares policies and procedures for surgery center.
