Surgical. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years. Responsibilities The Charge Nurse provides care, treatment, counseling and health education to the hospitalized patient.
The Charge Nurse is responsible for planning and coordination of care across the continuum. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributes to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients,
family members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds CDPH, The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements. Qualifications Minimum Education: BSN preferred.
Minimum Experience: One to two years recent experience in an acute care hospital; M/S experience preferred; Management experience preferred. Required Certification/Registration: Current CA RN license, current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. Other: Completion of basic critical care course required within six (6) months of hire. Additional Information: All persons offered employment must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including the COVID Booster, by the date of hire, unless qualified for an exemption for
a medical reason or religious belief. Proof of vaccination acceptable to the Facility is required before you may begin work.
