will be responsible for supporting practices in multiple markets, handling cases pending before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and managing litigation matters across the United States. Duties: Evaluate claims and participate in all aspects of trademark and copyright litigation.
Draft demand letters and responses. File cases before the TTAB and navigate the proceedings. Engage in complex brief writing for litigation cases. Conduct heavy document discovery in preparation for legal proceedings. Serve as 1st/2nd chair during depositions. Draft settlement and coexistence agreements. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Trademark and Unfair Competition Litigation.
Proven experience in claim evaluation and demand letter drafting. Familiarity with TTAB proceedings and filings. Strong expertise in complex brief writing. Extensive experience in managing document discovery processes.
Previous 1st/2nd chair deposition experience. Ability to draft effective settlement and coexistence agreements. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Admission to the Indiana State Bar. Additional certifications related to trademark and copyright law are a plus. Skills: Excellent legal research and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in legal software and research tools. Demonstrated negotiation and settlement skills.
