Defense Team. This role provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience in criminal defense, handle complex cases at various levels, and contribute to a supportive and collaborative legal environment. Duties: Report to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney.
Manage caseload and client interaction under the guidance of the Managing Attorney. Collaborate with the Criminal Defense Team, including attorneys and legal assistants. Advise clients on legal rights and draw up legal documents related to their cases. Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing advice on best strategies. Manage court appearances and trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and conduct
legal research. Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents. Effectively manage the workload of cases. Provide legal analysis for clients to determine potential case benefits.
Gather additional evidence to support clients' cases or arguments against prosecution charges. Prepare clients for depositions; determine essential goals of case strategy; and gather information from witnesses and experts. Act as a team player, open to collaboration, strategizing, and working with fellow associates. Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Entry-level position; interest in gaining experience in Criminal Defense. Ability to manage caseload and interact
effectively with clients. Strong analytical skills to backss probable outcomes based on legal precedents.
Excellent organizational and workload management skills. Openness to gaining experience in handling complex criminal cases at various levels.
