The candidate will manage a heavy caseload, ensuring timely progression and compliance with deadlines. The role involves drafting pleadings, filing lawsuits, performing legal research, responding to discovery, and preparing for and attending legal proceedings.
The Associate Attorney will take and defend depositions, argue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in court, and strategically litigate cases by obtaining key evidence for case files. The candidate will also negotiate and settle cases while providing excellent service to all clients. Duties Provide legal counsel, perform legal research, draft documents, and update
and maintain files. Represent clients in personal injury cases, including accidents, premises liability, auto, slip fall, motorcycle, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.
Draft pleadings and complaints, file lawsuits, perform legal research, draft motions, propound and respond to discovery, calendar, prepare mediation briefs, and trial preparation. Prepare for and attend legal proceedings. Provide legal counsel in conjunction with senior associates. Manage a heavy caseload, ensuring all assigned cases move forward in a timely manner and within deadlines. Take and defend depositions. Argue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in court. Strategically litigate cases by obtaining
key evidence to work up case files. Negotiate and settle cases.
Provide excellent service to all clients. Requirements Successful completion of a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and Bar exam. An active member of the California Bar Association. Skillinteractioncellent oral and written communication skills.
