Manage a caseload, ensuring effective client interaction, and providing valuable legal counsel. Advise clients on their legal rights in various matters and prepare necessary legal documents. Handle post-conviction relief cases, including motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce, and early termination of probation. Attend motion hearings on behalf of clients, offering insightful advice
on optimal legal strategies. Manage open criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas, and sentencing on behalf of other criminal attorneys within the firm.
Effectively manage court appearances, draft motions, interview clients, and conduct thorough legal research. Analyze probable outcomes of cases using a strong understanding of legal precedents. Efficiently manage the workload of cases, ensuring attention to detail and high-quality representation. Provide legal analysis for clients, determining potential case benefits. Demonstrate a strong interest in criminal defense or immigration law, with experience at the state and local levels. Collaborate as a team player, actively
contributing to the success of the post-conviction relief team.
Utilize bilingual (English/Spanish) skills as necessary. Be open to helping, strategizing, and working with fellow associates. Bring previous litigation and/or appellate experience to the position. Requirements: Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school. Active Bar admission in the state of California. Skills: Strong team player with effective collaboration skills.
