Security Officers in this position respond to situations that include but are not limited to fire emergencies, hazardous spills, disaster response, medical emergencies, safety support, missing child, active shooter, bombthreats, individuals under distress or escalated, unauthorized persons on Seattle Children's property or buildingsoccupied by Seattle Children's workforce members
with intentions to commit crimes such as vandalism, theft, and assault. Requirements Required Education and Experience: Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field or a combination of 3 years' experience in Security Servicesor related field Required Credentials: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of hire CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification within 90 days of hire (Annual Requirement)Completion of NCI Autism Training within 12 months of hire Completion of Seattle Children's Safe Firearms Training within 12 months of hire Completion of Car Seat Safety Training within 12 months of hire if required for position/role.
Score of 80% or above on
Seattle Children's Security Competency Exam in assigned area of the Security Department (Service Call, Emergency Department, Entrance, Surge, and Research) within 12 months.
