-Analyzing and recommending disposition of surplus and obsolete inventory, as well as helping to reduce the amount of that inventory. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Responsible for the daily creation and publication of key reports. -Responsible for filing all claims for lost and damaged freight and following up with carriers through successful payment of those claims.
-Responsible for identifying Surplus and Obsolete inventory and recommending the best options for disposition of that inventory. -Backing up other department team members reporting work during their time off. -Participating in improvement projects with the planning and inventory control team. -Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
-Must be an effective analyst with a high degree of integrity and a demonstrated record of accomplishments. -Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
-Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. -Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, team members, customers and the executive team. -Ability to be tenacious with freight claim follow-up, ensuring that carriers follow through and pay their claims. -Action oriented. -Able to deal with ambiguity, conflict management and complex business situations. -Ability to work in a growing
and changing environment. -Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
-High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred Qualifications: -Two plus years of applicable experience, including a minimum of two years in an analytical role. -Inventory control experience to include operating under an ERP system. Implementing an ERP system is a plus. -Proficient with ERP systems, especially inventory and shipping. -Some College coursework completed.
