Primary Duties and Responsibilities : Manages claims utilizing workflow queues to prioritize and complete follow up in accordance with compliance, regulatory and billing
guidelines and/or workflow, and specific payer protocols Monitors claim status with payers via web or phone Utilizes software to identify underpaid claims and file appeal letters to insurance carriers requesting appropriate reimbursement Processes appeal denials obtaining referrals and retro authorizations as needed Competencies: Adaptability: Maintains composure in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities and adjusting response appropriately to achieve goals; responds to change with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new ways to accomplish work activities and objectives Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved,
