Header This position will manage, plan, execute, monitor and control the activities of medium to large information technology projects and teams. Works in the Indiana State Department of Health, Office of Technology and Compliance (OTC) Division performing project management tasks for the Indian State Department of Health IT systems. They work collaboratively within the divisions to ensure quality, timely project implementations and business adoption. About

the Job: As the IT Project Manager Senior, you will be responsible for relationship management, project planning, resource management, tactical execution, and the creation and/or oversight of final project deliverables.

In this position, you will collaborate with senior management, stakeholders and the team to meet business objectives and provide professional leadership & mentorship fostering respect and trust to inspire others to pursue excellence. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: Oversee multiple projects to ensure proper management towards successful conclusion. Manage large enterprise-type projects that involve multiple internal stakeholders or contracted resources.

Develop, monitor, and maintain project plans. Define users and project team member’s roles and responsibilities on the project. Define user requirements, deliverables, and approvals. Coordinate and monitor activities of all stakeholders to ensure timelines and budgets are met. Communicate project status to management and project stakeholders. Mentor and provide guidance to lower-level Project Managers including recommending training and experience. What You'll Need for Success: You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment: High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE). Five (5) years of experience in project management. Must possess the Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification. Thorough knowledge of project cost management, benefit analysis, risk management, funding and estimation of resources. Thorough knowledge and application of project management theories and practices.

Extensive knowledge of the information systems development life cycle, information technology, project tools and approaches to development and implementation. Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft products: Outlook, Share Point, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio. Ability to lead project team by encouraging and influencing others to perform. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to develop and implement training of project management theories and methodology. You must satisfy the following requirements to continue employment: Familiarity with the different divisions of IOT for successful project management.

Must be willing to complete ongoing training and education. Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports: This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
