ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provide leadership to the members of Enterprise Systems Support for key technology need to support the GROWMARK system, such as cloud, database, backups, and linux. Leads in the development
of the technical solutions, in translating the business needs into technical requirements. Identifies gaps, strategic impacts, financial impacts and the risk profile in the technical solution or offering, and provides technical support.
Responsible for technical problem resolution including communication with vendors and support groups as needed. Evaluates new technological developments and evolving business requirements. Submits an annual strategic overview to management discussing new technical developments and trends within cloud computing and how GROWMARK might leverage these technologies within its business processes. Assist with the negotiation, relationship management, troubleshooting
and reporting of all technology related contract commitments made with various vendors.
Monitor servers and services to provide statistics and other feedback to help maintain efficient and effective use of these systems Performs the appropriate tasks needed to facilitate the access of cloud services and on premise solutions supported by ESS for a wide variety of applications used by the GROWMARK system. Implements, recommends, and adheres to GROWMARK IT procedures. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Prepares monthly status reports, weekly time reporting, project summaries, and technical recommendations. Assists with preparation of annual overhead and capital budgets.

Excess & Surplus (E&S) Property Division is seeking a dynamic individual to join a strategic team of professional underwriters operating in one of the most complex areas of the E&S industry.
Under Senior Vice President (SVP) supervision, the individual will act within established guidelines to actively market, analyze, review, evaluate and monitor new and renewal accounts. Exercise sound judgment in the processing and management of E&S accounts and underwriting activities. This position is posted in Chicago, but open to other geographic
regions. AXIS works in hybrid work schedule, with 3 days required in the office.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Participate in prospecting through the identification of new business targets and opportunities, work closely with producer/agent to ensure department receives opportunity to offer proposal. Make strategy recommendations to supervisor. Review and evaluate new and renewal business based upon company underwriting guidelines, competition and geographic focus. Develop strategy and make recommendations. Review coverage requests provided by agent and determine department's position relating to such requests within individual authority granted. Present those requests outside the individual authority to immediate supervisor for approval or guidance.
Analyze and underwrite individual risks. Develop appropriate limit structure, retention, pricing and endorsements within authority granted. Refer to supervisor for approval if outside authority. Manage personal book of business. Cross market between the product offerings within the department. Meet all divisional servicing objectives including but not limited to quote turnaround, policy issuance, phone management, file maintenance and documentation, etc. Maintain data integrity within the underwriting system.
Solicit new accounts, gather market intelligence and deliver up-to-date department information relating to products and services. Manage select agency relationships to ensure objectives are achieved. Continue to develop and update product and underwriting knowledge. Maintain up-to-date familiarity with economic and legal factors that impact the department's lines of business and the overall insurance industry. Participate in special projects and department initiatives at the request of manager. Coordinate with branch marketing representatives and profit center representatives to allow for cross marketing.
Required Education/Training & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management and Insurance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field preferred A minimum of 8 years of experience in E&S, Wholesale, Reinsurance property underwriting or broking Strong presentation and interpersonal skills Strong financial analysis background Established broker relationships within the region and the ability to build relationships in new markets Other desired skills and characteristics: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) Excellent negotiation, interpersonal communication skills, and strong marketing abilities Team player For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of 140k to 200k (Chicago).
