We are looking for a Senior Software Cloud Engineer to develop applications on Aruba Cloud Platform. This team develops advanced highly scalable cloud-based software applications that constitute the management plane and control plane for various Wireless networking functions. Aruba Cloud Platform is an internally developed innovative Cloud Stack which powers Aruba Cloud Applications for Wired/Wireless Network and Service Management. Requirements: BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields and 6-10 years of progressive industry experience in software design and development.
Strong Java or Go programming skills. Strong background in computer science/software engineering concepts including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, distributed computing, and cloud computing paradigms. Demonstrated abilities in designing robust and scalable cloud applications using distributed cache, messaging and streaming systems like Redis, Kafka, or similar products Experience developing APIs and backend modules. Working knowledge in one RDBMS or No SQL database Familiarity with at least one flavor of Linux (preferably Cent OS/RHEL) Knowledge of Cloud Platform - Core OS, Kubernetes, and Docker containers.
Desired: Proven abilities to prepare necessary Design Specifications, participate in Design and Code Reviews and work with Customer Support Teams for Customer Escalations. Exposure to networking or network management software development is a plus. Day-to-day working knowledge of contemporary source code development tools and techniques (e. g. GIT, Maven, Eclipse) Experience working with Product management teams Experience in working with Agile Methodology. Demonstrated abilities to work with QA and geographically distributed teams.
