Carries out routine maintenance, upgrade, and support of hardware, operating systems, and/or applications software. Provides ongoing optimization and problem solving support to minimize interruptions in customers' ability to carry out critical business activities. Manages network rights and access to systems and equipment. Interprets and applies
information security and information assurance policy, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services. Prepares and presents reports and briefings to technical staff.

OR, Completion of a master's degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree in computer science/engineering, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours as indicated above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
In addition, candidates must demonstrate IT-related experience which addresses the following four competencies:1. Attention to detail - Such as implementing quality control procedures and conducting compliance reviews.2. Customer service - Such as providing assistance to both internal and external customers; backssing customers' needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.3.
