hardware or software systems using standard principles, theories, concepts and methods for systems administration. Implements security plans, policies, and preventive maintenance schedules. Utilizes diagnostic tools and techniques to verify operability, optimize the functionality of networks and/or systems, and to diagnose/recover failed systems.

Carries out routine maintenance, upgrade, and support of hardware, operating systems, and/or applications software. Provides ongoing optimization and problem solving support to minimize interruptions in customers' ability to carry out critical business activities. Manages network rights and access to systems and equipment. Interprets and applies

information security and information assurance policy, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services. Prepares and presents reports and briefings to technical staff.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. OR, Completion of a master's degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree in computer science/engineering, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours as indicated above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.

In addition, candidates must demonstrate IT-related experience which addresses the following four competencies:1. Attention to detail - Such as implementing quality control procedures and conducting compliance reviews.2. Customer service - Such as providing assistance to both internal and external customers; backssing customers' needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.3. Verbal communication - Such as conducting formal presentations or training to audiences at varying levels of hierarchy and technical expertise.4.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills - Such as identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches toproblems. Highly qualified candidates will also possess: Progressive experience with implementing Risk Management framework in Information Systems. Possess certification or training in vm Ware, Citrix or Microsoft operating systems and experience working in a virtual server environment (vm Ware). Possess experience in application support and database administration in Cloud services for Mission applications/systems, i.

e. Financial Management and Budget Systems, and Employee Tracking System and provides critical metrics for Manpower and staffing oversight to senior Leadership.
