capabilities A creative problem solver with the ability to multitask and be resourceful Comfortable being client-facing and able to explain technical jargon: must be able to communicate with both marketing clients and their internal IT departments Adaptable and able to quickly pick up new technologies A self-starter and critical thinker who can lead a project with confidence You will: Lead front and backend development on web work for clients Execute large-scale projects using Agile Scrum practices, including creating agile stories and technical requirements, sprint planning, and leading regular scrum and retrospective discussions Estimate development hours, review project schedules, and determine
resource needs for upcoming projects Front- and back-end development of mobile and web applications and websites Determine appropriate software architecture and design Write and/or review functional requirement documents and specifications Consult with clients and peers on technical factors to refine functionality and ensure successful delivery of the creative vision Address and debug issues reported by clients and peers Write tests to support Continuous Integration Stay current with standards and methodologies in development technologies, and mentor other developers to incorporate new trends Help define and lead best practices and have an eye on templatization and framework development.
Best practices may include: WCAG AA 2.2 (and future updates) Data governance Web security Perform periodic code reviews in collaboration with the development team You have: Expert knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML 5, CSS 3, Java Script, j Query, and APIs Well-versed in customizing Word Press, including building a theme from scratch AEM also preferred but not a requirement Solid understanding of back-end technologies: Java, Javascript/Typescript Deep understanding and experience with implementing web accessibility standards as this is a contractual requirement for client web work Experience with Agile Scrum Methodologies, including story creation and sprint planning An understanding of Continuous Integration, and experience writing and maintaining unit tests Experience working with common frameworks (Handlebars, Twig) Ability to convert creative assets into cross-browser compatible, optimized, responsive HTML web pages, mobile sites, and emails The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60 to $70/hr.
Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
