As a Product Designer on the Customer Identity & Authentication team, you will be engaged in the range of design practices, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, though to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and to delivery of final designs.
Product Designers are part of multi-disciplinary teams, including Experience Researchers and Content Designers. They are also expected to participate in cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers. We expect you to have strengths in the core interaction design parts of this process, and a desire to continually broaden
and improve your skills. Job Responsibilities Design and re-design product experiences across the Customer Identity & Authentication product Partner with UX Researchers and Lead Designers, participate in upfront user research to better understand user needs and behaviors, and usability testing to see how your solutions work for users Collaborate directly with engineering peers, advocating for the user's perspective when working cross-functionally Ideate and prototype to explore different options, landing on elegant, and even unexpected, solutions that satisfy requirements Design the interactivity of the product, including user flows and wireframes Detail design, built upon our Design System,
that brings our solutions to life Present work and articulate design decisions to Product Team leadership Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Bachelor's Degree in relevant design discipline (e.
g. Interaction Design, HCI, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience Plans and structures their own work, executing quality work within expected time frames Demonstrated experience with user-centered design approaches Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and with software engineers Demonstrates strong Interaction Design skills paired with proficiency in Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture; Development in adjacent skills such as User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping Intermediate communication and presentation skills, including articulating the rationale behind design decisions within the team Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Developing understanding of Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices Has shipped digital products or a launch-ready prototype Understanding of basic technical context of their designs; familiar with HTML, CSS, and Java Script Foundational understanding of business needs, and how design connects with it Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
