and communicate spatial data effectively. Key Responsibilities: GIS Data Management Collaborate with project teams to understand mapping requirements and objectives. Design and produce accurate and visually appealing maps using Arc GIS Pro and/or Arc Map. Acquire, manage, and analyze geospatial data from various sources and represent this data visually through a map.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry standards. Utilize Arc GIS Pro and/or Arc Map to create and maintain accurate maps, databases, and digital records of assets. Utilize standardized layers to represent features visually on maps accurately. Conduct spatial analysis and geospatial modeling, including
imagery-based analysis, to support decision-making processes. Portal Maintenance: Utilize Experience Builder or similar tools to create interactive and user-friendly web mapping applications.
Update Client SDEs by loading data collected or received. QA/QC attributes to ensure the attribution of features accurately reflects the features. Create and update web applications with new layers, as specified by the client. GIS Software and Tool Utilization: Utilize industry-standard GIS software (e. g. Arc GIS) to perform geospatial analysis and modeling. Implement geodatabase management techniques to organize and store GIS data efficiently. Qualifications: Proficient knowledge of Arc GIS Pro
is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in GIS data management, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Proficiency in GIS software such as Arc GIS Desktop. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Experience utilizing portal and satellite imagery is preferred. Requirements: Arc GIS Desktop knowledge preferred, specifically Arc Map. Knowledge of as-built pipelines, facilities, or related Oil and Gas experience is preferred.
Data migration (schema to schema mapping) is a plus. Must have strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Experience with Esri portal is preferred but not required. Work Environment: This position is for a remote location. Flexible scheduling may be possible but must be approved through management. Physical Demands: This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Travel: Occasional local day travel may be required.
