from anesthesia Work Pre Op and assist with regional nerve blocks, starting/monitoring IVs, anesthesia, pre-operative instructions, and backssments.

Work Post Op and PACU phase 1 and 2 recovery from anesthesia, report to receiving In Patient units and patient's family, and discharge education.

Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree preferred. Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure is required. Experience: 1 or more years of PACU nursing experience is required. ICU, Step-down, and Emergency Room experience will be considered if current or recent skillsets

include expertise with ventilated patients; this is required. BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.

ACLS and PALS certification: Preferred or within six months of hire. Requires the ability to practice utilizing ASPAN (American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nursing) recommended standards and guidelines. Position Highlights and Benefits: Full-Time - 36 hours/week - Day Shift. Open seven days a week with requirements to work every 3rd weekend. Holiday commitment is on call. Shift start times vary and require 12-hour Shifts; Day Shift start times range from 5:30 am, 6 am, 7 am, 8 am, or 9:00 am. Shift start times vary; Evening Shift

start times range from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Night Shift is on-call: The requirement is to pick up 1 per 6-week schedule.
