Featuring an ED that receives the greatest number of ambulance runs per year of any hospital in the State of Illinois, we hire and encourage applications from new graduates as well as seasoned RN's. GENERAL SUMMARY: The RN operates within the framework of the Mission, Vision, and Values of Holy Cross Hospital. Follows attendance standards
and expectations: has minimum tardiness or absenteeism.
Completes all hospital wide mandatory educational programs Completes all orientation requirements and departmental competency testing requirements. Responds appropriately in emergency situations. Adheres to hospital policies and procedures as well as department specific policies and procedures: examples of hospital wide policies include infection control, restraints, and safety policies and procedures. Participates in hospital and unit quality initiatives. Provides care considering patient rights, advanced directives and ethical issues Collaborates with coworkers, patients, families, physicians, spiritual care and (when needed) the ethics committee when issues arise regarding patients' rights, end of life issues, and advanced directives Participates in continuing education activities Adapts to floating to similar units when required and adapts to changing patient assignments as volume and acuity fluctuate Utilizes computer skills to access information for patient related data, order entry and hospital systems Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing2 Years trauma experience -preferred - will consider new grads CPR, ACLS required TNCC, TNS, CEN Preferred Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Illinois BENEFITS: 403 b tax sheltered retirement Tuition Reimbursement Medical, dental, vision For more details: jobs-search.
