a full-time engineering/GIS technician in either our Madison or Rhinelander office. Qualifications include one to five years of professional experience in a related field or school/training equivalent, basic engineering knowledge, proficiency in Auto CAD (Civil3D) and/or GIS (Arc GIS), as well as MS Office Suite, experience with Revit is desired, but not required, and an associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Bachelors degree in Geospatial Analysis and Technology is preferred.
Position Responsibilities include developing plan sets and design base files in Auto CAD (Civil 3D), GIS mapping, assist municipal, water and wastewater engineers in design of projects by performing
necessary document revisions as requested by the Project Manager to create final technical documents and construction drawings, develop utility design for sanitary, storm, and water, roadway and wastewater treatment facility design using latest software, and ability to work both independently and within a team and demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving goals and deadlines.
Additional opportunities include survey and construction inspection of project sites, and instruction on UAS drone system procedures.
