Responsibilities We are now accepting applications for the new graduate RN Residency program at Virginia Mason. We offer the Nurse Residency for our hospital inpatient units as well as some of our outpatient
clinics. This is a program focused on supporting the new graduate nurse from entry level to competent professional nurse. The evidence-based curriculum provides emphasis on leadership, patient safety outcomes, and professional development.
Our program offers an individualized professional development plan and monthly seminars conducted during the first year of employment at Virginia Mason. Our Residency program will prepare you to successfully begin your career as a confident nursing professional. acute care areas such as Medical, Surgical and Telemetry as well as our ambulatory clinics.
Opportunities in the outpatient setting will vary, but may include specialty clinics such as GI, Urology and Oncology. Most positions are full time (36-40 hours per week). Shifts may vary, 8-12 hours in duration. Some positions may require working every other weekend. Qualifications Current and valid Washington State registered nurse license is required before your start date. CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work. Other certifications May BE required for Specialty areas.
